CÉ LA VI in Bangkok launches new art concept
Canvass premieres tonight with forward thinking Japanese artist Kuniyuki Takahashi
CÉ LA VI, formerly Bangkok’s beloved Ku De Ta, is doing something a little different. Stepping away from its traditional upscale clubbing concept, it's launching a weekly series that endeavors to combine music with art.
Introducing Canvass. Thursdays will now see artists, DJs, VJs, photographers, performers and expressionists from all kinds of fine arts transform the dynamic venue into one that steps away from the status quo and instead pushes the creative envelope.
Best of all, the music promises to never be mainstream.
The series kicks off tonight with an art exhibition and live music performance by Japanese musician Kuniyuki Takahashi, followed by Fred Everything next week.
