Catch Danny Daze as he sets his sights on Asia
The Hot Creations DJ and producer will hit five cities this month
Danny Daze is leaving behind his native Miami for quick jump over to Asia. He’s been on the map for a while now, since 1999 to be exact, but back then he was putting in his time as a wedding DJ and raving only in his spare time.
Jump ahead to WMC in 2011 where Jamie Jones and Seth Troxler were spotted fighting over who was going to play Daze’s track Your Everything and the next thing you know, Jones released the tune on Hot Creations.
Productions came easy after that, likely because of the serious hours he’s known to put in at the studio, and he quickly followed up with yet another release on Hot Creations called Falling Away From Love. Getting the Hot Creations stamp of approval really changed everything for him and soon he found himself in Europe playing gigs like Fabric and most recently he released Dual on Jimmy Edgar’s Ultramajic, which reached number two in the Beatport techno top 100. Danny also hosts a Sunday Morning mixtape series that focuses on more experimental productions. Some of the featured artists have been himself, Michael Mayer, Lackluster and Cliff Loather.
Catch Danny Daze on tour this November, the full dates are below. Expect music that can be described as dark and raw, but also because Daze spent much of his youth fully immersed in the Miami breakdancing scene, that culture manifests itself in the music he plays today and elements of techno, disco and Miami bass are weaved throughout.
