Defected Records mainstay Cristoph hits Southeast Asia this week

The North of England is prime stomping ground for any aspiring DJ. The music culture is rich, the clubs are underground and influences are plenty, and when your entire family starts pushing vinyl too, it’s the perfect formula to breed a perfect DJ. And this is exactly how Cristoph grew up.

While relatively a newcomer to the dance music industry, the deep house, tech house and techno purveyor has cemented his position as a versatile selector and landed himself a home with the Defected Records family very early in his career.

His tight-knit relationship with Defected has also positioned him as an uplifting and melodic house music DJ. His ability to span multiples genres while keeping the groove and energy consistent is showcased flawlessly in the albums and numerous imprints he’s released on the imprint.

He’s also released on Underground Audio, Noir, and Pete Tong’s label FFRR and often credits influences like Masters at Work, Hot Since 82, Maya Jane Coles, Maceo Plex and Daft Punk.

His SoundCloud is packed with releases, remixes and mixes and we highly recommend checking it out.

2014 was a massive year of productions for the UK DJ and this year has been heavy on touring as a result. Cristoph is coming off a summer spent playing all over Europe, from Berlin to Ibiza, and just before finishing the year off in Europe his world tour takes him to Asia for the first time. The full tour schedule is below.

November 5th @ W Hotel, Bali
November 6th @ Glow, Bangkok
November 7th @ Dragonfly, Jakarta
November 13th @ Kyo, Singapore
November 14th @ Secret location, Hong Kong
