Brooklyn Mirage to reopen as Pacha New York after more than a year of closure
The long-running venue was aquired by the parent company of Pacha Ibiza last year
The beleaguered New York venue Brooklyn Mirage is set to reopen this summer after more than a year of closure, rebranding under the name Pacha New York.
It follows an issue-plagued few years for the Williamsburg venue, whose parent company filed for bankruptcy in August last year with over $150 million in funded debt obligations, and later faced partial demolition in October with plans to remove a 32,000 sq ft. area of the club.
In January, BK Mag reported that Brooklyn Mirage was set to be rebranded as Pacha New York after being sold to Pacha Ibiza's parent company FIVE Holdings.

The news was confirmed yesterday, February 3, with the Dubai-based holdings company revealing that they are now looking to “revive” the venue. The agreement was struck between FIVE Holdings and the primary lender of Brooklyn Mirage’s wider venue complex, Avant Gardner, Axar Capital Management.
Brooklyn Mirage will reopen in June, with its first season set to run through October. Line-ups have yet to be announced, though the venue promises “world-class performances” from both international and “homegrown” talent.
In 2023, two people were found dead and another was allegedly kidnapped after leaving Brooklyn Mirage. Though the venue denied responsibility, owners made plans to close temporarily in order to make $30 million worth of renovations and heighten safety measures.

According to Brooklyn Paper, Brooklyn Mirage planned to reopen on May 1, 2025, but failed to meet its inspection deadline, causing its temporary occupancy certificate to be withdrawn.
“After supporting Avant Gardner through a challenging period in 2025, we are pleased to have achieved an agreement in principle with the Committee of Unsecured Creditors, resolving all material matters related to the Chapter 11 plan and sale transaction,” says Andrew Axelrod, CEO and CIO of Axar Capital.
“The partnership with FIVE and Pacha is about restoring the venue as a beloved destination for music fans, and we look forward to seeing it elevated to even greater heights.”
