Boards of Canada have dropped two brand new singles ahead of the release of their first full-length record in over a decade, ‘Inferno’.

‘Introit’ and ‘Prophecy At 1420 MHz’ are the first two tracks on the album chronologically, and land as a double-tracker complete with a trippy music video directed by Robert Beatty.

‘Introit’ is a 30-second introductory track, which is followed up by the slow-burning, guitar-led ‘Prophecy At 1420 MHz’ alongside eerie, psychedelic visuals in the duo’s classic VHS style.

They’re the first official tracks to arrive from the new record, though an earlier track released by the pair titled ‘Tape 05’ left fans speculating on Reddit whether it’ll also appear on the album in some form.

‘Inferno’, the sibling duo’s first album in 13 years following 2013’s ‘Tomorrow’s Harvest’, is set to land on their long-time label Warp on May 29.

The 18-track record was teased with a cryptic pre-release campaign that saw mysterious VHS tapes show up at fans houses in April, and posters featuring the duo's recognisable art style appear all over the globe just days later.

Boards of Canada then revealed that exclusive first-listen sessions of their forthcoming album will take place on May 22 across seven cities: London, Berlin, Tokyo, Los Angeles, New York, Barcelona, and Glasgow.
