Bhai Bhai Soundsystem to make Sri Lanka debut at Dots Bay House
The Dhaka-based collective takes over the venue with its Bangali underground spirit on February 22
On February 22, Dots Bay House once again partners with Mixmag Asia to bring Bhai Bhai Soundsystem to Sri Lanka for the first time.
The Dhaka-based electronic trio—Shoummo Saha, Sakib Tonmoy, and Hasib Mahmud—have been redefining underground music in Bangladesh since their formation in 2022, blending everything from house and disco to bass and jungle.
Bhai Bhai Soundsystem takes inspiration from the underground scenes of Dhaka, bringing together emerging artists and fresh sounds.
Their name, meaning “brotherhood” in Bangla, reflects their mission to celebrate Bangali identity through music and collaboration. But beyond that, they see immense potential for South Asian dance music communities to learn from each other.
"Since different parts of South Asia faced different challenges in curating and conducting inclusive dancefloor activism, there is a huge scope for interchanges of dialogues to better mitigate these aspects and to learn from each other," the crew convey to us.
Having already turned heads with features on underground platforms like Keep Hush Live, their high-energy performances are reshaping the dance music landscape.
