CLOT taps into their music roots on collab with Bang & Olufsen
Danish design-forward and luxury audio brand Bang & Olufsen team up with Hong Kong-based fashion label CLOT on a collaborative limited-edition Beosound A1 speaker.
Embracing their common collaborative thread around bridging cultural aesthetics from the East and West, CLOT also revisits their core music values, which is also rooted in their namesake.
CLOT was originally inspired from Jamaican reggae culture and slang, where they drew on the life force of blood.
“The rhythm of a heartbeat is like music — it’s everyone’s beat, everyone’s being. Our heart pumps blood, and our blood runs our system. It’s like the making of music and the making of art, which is actually human nature. Being able to work with Bang & Olufsen and start a journey on product creation has been fun. Representing blood cells and the creative energy they carry, the aluminium grill surface of the Beosound A1 is furbished in a bright metallic red. The emphatic red tint also plays tribute to the auspicious symbolism it plays in Chinese tradition and culture.
