Danish design-forward and luxury audio brand Bang & Olufsen team up with Hong Kong-based fashion label CLOT on a collaborative limited-edition Beosound A1 speaker.
Embracing their common collaborative thread around bridging cultural aesthetics from the East and West, CLOT also revisits their core music values, which is also rooted in their namesake.
CLOT was originally inspired from Jamaican reggae culture and slang, where they drew on the life force of blood.
“The rhythm of a heartbeat is like music — it’s everyone’s beat, everyone’s being. Our heart pumps blood, and our blood runs our system. It’s like the making of music and the making of art, which is actually human nature. Being able to work with Bang & Olufsen and start a journey on product creation has been fun. This is the first step and hopefully we will have a lot more products to come.” says Edison Chen, Founder and Creative Director of CLOT.
Representing blood cells and the creative energy they carry, the aluminium grill surface of the Beosound A1 is furbished in a bright metallic red. The emphatic red tint also plays tribute to the auspicious symbolism it plays in Chinese tradition and culture.
With its True360 omnidirectional sound and an attention-grabbing design, the Beosound A1 makes for the perfect portable speaker for a decadent gathering, and doesn’t shy away from rich, low frequencies for an intimate good time. Fully dust and waterproof, Beosound A1 is capable of providing you with 18 hours of non-stop music, and the Multipoint feature lets two devices connect and control the tunes.
And if slightly more serious moments interrupt you having a good time, Beosound A1 provides crystal clear voice calls thanks to its speakerphone performance, with Bluetooth 5.1 and three internal microphones giving the best connection for online meetings and hands-free calls.
CLOT x Bang & Olufsen Beosound A1 is set to launch at JUICE stores (Hong Kong, Los Angeles, Shanghai, Taipei, Taichung, Beijing, Chengdu and Guangzhou) and online at juicestore.com from 12 December onwards. Find out more on CLOT’s Instragram.
