Basement Jaxx announce first live shows in 10 years

Electronic duo Basement Jaxx are bringing back their live show after 10-years of DJing around the globe.

Announcing the news via Instagram, members Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe said: “Excited to be returning to the main stages of the UK & Eire next Summer with our full Live Show experience for the first time in 10 years. See you in the fields, at the castles and in the fairground !”

The nine-date tour will start June 21 and end August 24, with appearances scheduled at Latitude Festival (July 25), Dreamland Margate (July 26), Camp Bestival (August 2) and Wilderness (August 3).

Basement Jaxx are known for inviting singers, MCs and dancers on stage for their live shows.

Having formed in 1994, the house and garage band went on to release hit singles ‘Red Alert’, ‘Rendez-Vu’, ‘Romeo’, and ‘Where's Your Head At’, and win Best Dance Act at both the 2002 and 2004 BRIT Awards.

In 2005, they performed a headline show at Glastonbury Festival on the Pyramid Stage.

Over the past 10 years, Basement Jaxx have played at many festivals, but as DJs and not as a live show.

In 2023, they played a set at Movement Detroit alongside Underworld and Charlotte De Witte.

Speaking on their return to the stage, Buxton said: “It’s great our hits are still very much alive with younger generations, so we connect across the age range – and it’ll be great to pop in a couple of bangers from our forthcoming album too.”

“It feels like 2025 is the beginning of a new era for many and I think that’s probably true for Basement Jaxx too.”
