Bangkok: Check out an interactive installation on sonic poetry from the garden
Bangkok Design Week runs until February 13
“Let the words of nature’s poetry resonate with your deepest feelings,” reads a tagline inviting guests to experience an interactive sound installation that integrates human emotion with technological circuitry to explore nature's sonic narrative.
Created by Tommy Hanson and CRSRCRSR and commissioned by People of Ari, the installation is part of Bangkok’s Design Week, which runs until February 13 across multiple creative neighbourhoods in Thailand’s capital city.
“I've been working nonstop on this project with my collaborator Thanapat Ryan Ogaslert dreaming, planning, experimenting, soldering, and coding to make these ideas a reality, and I'd love for everyone to get a chance to come and enjoy it,” says Hanson of the installation.
The installation itself is called Arom Pa Bot and you’ll find it has taken over the garden at Yellow Lane Cafe on Ari Soi 1 from 10pm - 4pm daily, with special performances taking place at 3:30pm on both Saturday and Sunday.
Bangkok’s Design Week is one of three creative events slated for 2022 in Thailand. Following the 9-day edition in Bangkok, which presents more than 200 activities featuring impressive designs from creative artists in various fields in five different creative districts across Bangkok until February 13, the Isan Creative Festival will take place from February 25 to March 6 2022. In December, Chiang Mai will host a week-long event.
