Considered as one of Japan’s most treasured techno acts, Drunken Kong has just released 'I Want To See' EP via the coveted Drumcode. Comprising four tracks built around different vocal samples respectively, it’s the ultimate listen for those wanting to get in the rave-ready mindset.

Drunken Kong’s resident club night at WOMB Tokyo named ‘Intention’ has captivated the city’s many techno connoisseurs as the duo carries on championing the vast breadth of the genre, keeping attendees excitedly on their toes with each event.

With recent outings on Tronic, Terminal M and Octopus Recordings to name a few, June marks the duo’s debut on Drumcode.

DJ Kyoko and D. Singh continue to showcase their trademark mesmerising groove-oriented rhythm throughout the compositions, infusing dreamy melodic and vocal elements that add to the hypnotic character of their sound.

Kicking off the EP is the heavy-hitting ‘It’s Then’ which immediately demands the listener’s attention with its driving bassline straight from the get-go. Unapologetic at its best, ‘It’s Then’ sets the tone for the rest of the EP with its chugging bottom end and sleek synth line. To top it off; beguiling, haunting vocals that perfectly balance out while also enhancing the track’s intensity.
