Amelie Lens receives outpouring of support after sharing pregnant photo on stage
“I am so incredibly proud and happy to be able to combine both these things in my life,” she says on being pregnant while actively DJing
Back in July, Lenske head honcho Amelie Lens announced her first pregnancy with husband and fellow producer Farrago.
The two techno connoisseurs have been together for more than a decade and married for a little over a year now.
When Amelie posted the news of her pregnancy a few months back, the comments section was flooded with congratulatory messages from fans, friends and fellow DJs.
when I announced my pregnancy everyone immediately panicked “but you are a Dj?” Yes I am. And I am so incredibly proud and happy to be able to combine both these things in my life. Only 6 more shows before I stay home to enjoy my last weeks of pregnancy ❤️ pic.twitter.com/NbfZ4p6hXO

The Belgian producer recently posted a photo on X (formerly known as Twitter), showing her standing on stage behind the decks, baby bump on display. Behind her, a venue packed with fans.
In the post, Amelie expressed her anticipation of staying home to enjoy the last weeks of her pregnancy. Her last date is set for Saturday, October 21 at EXHALE X AWAKENINGS ADE which will take place at Ziggo Dome, Amsterdam.
As with her previous posts, many have flocked towards the reply section and showered the producer with supportive messages.
Some of the replies also seem to be aimed at fighting misconceptions about having a child while still being active in the electronic music scene.

Former BBC Radio 1 host and fellow DJ Annie Mac once mentioned to The Irish Times that one of the proudest moments of her career was during her “pregnant DJing escapades, probably because it felt kind of groundbreaking. I’d never seen it done before. DJing with a massive fucking pregnant belly is kind of terrifying but exhilarating at the same time.”

Best of luck - my son just turned 17 - it is indeed possible to have a life in music & a child - as long as you have a good support network. And it will change for you especially when they get to school age & need routine - all a great adventure! X

A lot of misconceptions on what a pregnant person can and cannot do - great to see you breaking some of them and setting new standards for future parents and DJs!
