AlphaTheta announces "next-generation" CDJ-3000X

AlphaTheta has just launched its "next-generation" DJ controller, the CDJ-3000X.

Released today (September 9), the latest in the CDJ range marks the first player to be released under the AlphaTheta brand name, with AlphaTheta having previously developed and marketed the products under the Pioneer DJ brand.

The CDJ-3000X features built-in Wi-Fi, meaning users can access software such as rekordbox without a LAN cable, while the front panel's NFC touchpoint also allows for access to online services by tapping a smart phone.

Reportedly designed to withstand "500,000 additional presses" compared to the previous model, the CDJ-3000, the player has received "extensive" rebuilding of its play and queue buttons.

The new player includes the popular Touch Cue feature from previous models, which allows you to listen to a track at any point in a mix with your headphones. It also comes with a new 'Hot Cue workflow', which analyses tracks in real time to allow for more spontaneous drops.

AlphaTheta's CDJ-3000X is on sale now for £2,399 including VAT, (€2,799 including VAT, or $2,999 excluding tax). For more information, click here.
