Abao drops brilliant, uplifting electronic-gospel song ‘Thank You’

Taiwanese Folk song singer Abao recently released a new song ‘Thank You’ that has racked up over 130K YouTube views in its first three weeks, receiving rave reviews across the board.

Combining western gospel singing, indigenous language and electronic beats, the track is absolutely unique and meaningful, and an unexpected cultural bridge from Asia to the world. Originally a nurse, Abao has dedicated ‘Thank You’ to all the first aid angels. She has also recorded 11 Indigenous songs from around Taiwan, and seven with children’s voices.

Born into a Taiwanese tribe, Abao debuted in 2003 as one half of the group Abao & Brandy winning best Duo and later, best Indigenous folk album at the prestigious Golden Melody Awards. Check out ‘Thank You’ here:
