A24's Club Kid follows the life of a queer New York party promoter

Club Kid, written and directed by comedian and actor Jordan Firstman, premiered at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival's Un Certain Regard section in May, where it received nominations for the Caméra d'Or and the Queer Palm.

According to Variety, A24 acquired the film following its Cannes debut.

The film marks Firstman's first feature as a director, following a career built through internet comedy videos, writing credits on shows including Big Mouth, and acting roles on HBO's I Love L.A. and FX's The English Teacher.

The film follows Peter, a queer New York club promoter, whose routine of parties and late nights shifts when a 10-year-old son he didn't know about enters his life.

Cast-wise, there’s Cara Delevingne, Diego Calva, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Colleen Camp and newcomer Reggie Absolom as the son.

Club Kid was shot on 35mm by cinematographer Adam Newport-Berra and features a score by Cristobal Tapia de Veer, composer for Smile and The White Lotus.

A24 released the film's first trailer on August 19, ahead of a theatrical run beginning November 6 in select theatres, followed by a wider rollout.
