A record shop in Taipei has unearthed some disco gems from the 70s & 80s
The 12-track complication is called 'Taiwan Disco' and was released on vinyl this week
Keen for a nostalgic trip back to the 70s and 80s in Taiwan where disco divas, funky queens and glamorous women dominated dance floors? A small record shop in Taipei called THT Records takes you back to that time via a compilation EP it put out earlier this week full of music from that era.
The 70s were an interesting time for Taiwan and saw some spectacularly unique music be produced. Sounds coming out of the west collided with Taiwanese musicians and the output was an extraordinary style of disco distinctive only Taiwan.
