48 hours in Asia with Oliver Heldens

Oliver Heldens is relentless. He’s got the advantage of age and that fuels a kind of energy that is long gone in the big guns. He’s put out more singles in his short career than many DJs have in a lifetime. Perhaps it’s his Dutch background but more likely it’s his raw talent that piqued the ears of Tiësto and at the ripe age of 17 he was signed to the superstar’s label Musical Freedom and just like that he became his prodigy. His single Gecko was deemed an Essential New Tune by Pete Tong in 2014 and with that he cemented himself as a serious artist well on his way to becoming an leader, mover and shaker of the EDM industry. We hit the road with the Dutch megastar, see the product below.

"Another day in Asia means great food again!"

"I had a day off in Singapore. Couldn't think of a better way then to spend time with some cool monkeys at the Singapore Zoo!"

"My first gig @ Fuji Rock. Playing at this amazing mountain festival in Japan was quite an experience. Got to see other acts as well, like the Red Hot Chili Peppers."

"Planking!"

"Quite a view in OMNI in Taipei!"

"The artist lounge in Zouk where I discovered some typical Singapore music."

"This is a loooot of amazing food! I’m such a big Asian food lover. We didn’t have to bring any doggie bags!"

"喝采! Got myself a nice umbrella for sun protection in Japan."
