Meek ‘Warpin Paradise’

Sounds Nais is back with another VA presenting the contemporary sound of the Philippines and it’s their best yet. Everything from budots to house, dub techno and more is presented across 30 tracks by Filipino producers. Meek’s ecstatic disco house contribution ‘Warpin Paradise’ reminds us once again why we’ve been championing this rising talent since last February.

SHIMA ‘INVISIBLE’ (tesh Remix)

Recently out on TOKiMONSTA’s Young Art Records is the tesh remix of ‘INVISIBLE’ by SHIMA. Reminiscent of London Grammar, the remix tones down the energy and textures of the original into a softer atmosphere that illuminates SHIMA’s haunting vocals.

HASEGAWA-4200 ‘VD2’

HASEGAWA-4200 returns to Osaka-based label KOOL SWITCH WORKS after a six-year wait with a new EP titled ‘Voice / Drums’. As promised, the project’s 2 ghettotech tracks deliver on the theme with ‘VD2’ being our top pick.

Magnetic Soul ‘Beyond The Sunset’

Fresh off the heels of celebrating their 20th anniversary, Hong Kong drum ‘n’ bass stalwarts Magnetic Soul shared their fifth and latest EP on January 16. Title track ‘Beyond the Sunset’ features vocalist Kutoff and showcases the group’s signature liquid sound.
