Brooklyn-based DJ, producer and multi-instrumentalist JKriv has been operating on the vanguard of the disco-leaning dance underground for somewhere approaching two decades. The Razor-N-Tape label he co-runs is considered something of a gold standard for edit hungry selectors, providing a home to only the most tastefully crafted reworks in a highly saturated field. Elsewhere, he's released acclaimed music on labels including Disco Deviance, Barefoot Beats, Secret Squirrels, and Whiskey Disco, and his music has won him admirers far and wide, with the likes of Derrick Carter, Disclosure, Andrew Weatherall, Louie Vega, Kenny Dope, Mark Farina, and Greg Wilson routinely showing love to his productions. Behind the turntables his skills are no less revered, with a keen ear for harmony and a natural flair for the groove, he's pushed his funky sound at benchmark venues in over 30 countries, playing alongside some of the underground's most prestigious artists.

More recently, Razor-N-Tape have begun adding originally-composed material to their floor shaking edit output, and their latest release features remixes of BaianaSystem's 2018 album track, 'Água'. Here, the effervescent sounds and intoxicating rhythms of contemporary Brazil are fused with the cutting-edge dancefloor sensibilities of remix artists Jimpster (whose version you can check below), Diogo Strausz, and JKriv. To celebrate the release, the man himself has selected a choice batch of distinctly Brazilian-themed fire to ratchet up the temperature gage just in time for the long, hot summer. "Brazilian music has been a long-time love of mine and has brought me so much happiness over the years," JKriv told Mixmag Asia. "There’s something so pure and emotive about it, it truly always brings a smile to my face. Here are 11 tracks that capture that vibe a bit."

So, without further ado, press play on the exquisite list, and let Jkriv transport you across continents with his intoxicating Guest List.
