We watched you perform on Boiler Room but you were listed as WiFi Grapes. Who is your alter ego?

WiFi Grapes is my alter ego. I called myself WiFi Grapes because I’m sharing my music to people around the world. I love to work with different people but who have the same frequencies and vibration as me.

Recently you hooked up with Skrillex in the studio. What was the output of those sessions?

I’ve been in the production scene for 3 years now but before that I was writing pop songs under Sony ATV. I’m a self-leaner and learned all the skills from YouTube and friends. When I was in Korea with Skrillex I saw he used all kinds of samples, which were recorded from things around us and put them into the songs. He also gave me some tips about production. I was really amazed that he works so hard on music day and night – music is his everyday life. I’m really thankful that he gave me the opportunity to explore a different world.

How well do your parents receive who you are and what you do for a living?

My parents are very supportive right now. They used to be concerned about my health because I worked in a nightclub but now they trust that I can take of myself. They know I’ve been into music since I was a kid and they tried their best to give me all kinds of musical resources such as a cello and a piano so for that I’m really grateful. I’m trying my best to prove to them and myself that I can be successful. Thank you Mom and Dad.
