On Tour: Selectress Iriela brings her vibrant eclecticism to the Golden Triangle

New York-based queen of all things funk, soul and reggae, Selectress Iriela will be making her Asia debut this weekend, starting with an eight-show tour across the Golden Triangle.

The Selectress will showcase her energetic eclecticism as she touches down in Siem Reap, Phnom Penh, Ho Chi Minh City, Phu Quoc, Phuket, Koh Lanta and Koh Phangan with pre-Christmas shows up until mid-January 2024.

Her journey commenced in the mid-90s when she took the reins as both producer and host of the groundbreaking "Rockers" show on 88.9FM WERS in Boston. She fearlessly shattered barriers as one of the trailblazing female DJs and producers in the city’s reggae scene. Since then, her quest has known no bounds, as she has embarked on a remarkable global adventure, gracing renowned stages alongside the crème de la crème of artists such as A Tribe Called Quest, Lady Starlight, Chaka Khan, Louie Vega, DJ Spinna, The Wailers, and Mutabaruka.

Known for projecting a universal sound without boundaries, she transgresses across genres and styles with genuine fluency whilst expressing a deep passion for uniting people on and off the dance floor. Originally making her name as a radio personality, she quickly grew into the role of a globe-trotting DJ and producer.
