FNX Omar debuts his deep, soulful Afro house sounds in Hong Kong this weekend

Omar Elassry, best known by his stage name FNX Omar, has spearheaded the African house music movement pretty much since its inception. Along the way, he has built an impressive discography and taken his iconic sound on tour to audiences around the world; from Ibiza to Istanbul, London to Luanda, Berlin to Bali and beyond.

The Moroccan DJ and producer, often described as a storyteller and cosmopolitan, draws inspiration from his African roots, infusing tribal harmony and captivating vibrations into distinctive studio creations that have earned releases by Defected, Spinnin' Records, Armada, Get Physical, and MoBlack.

When it comes to performances, FNX Omar’s are undoubtedly distinguished by unique storytelling and intricate musicality, taking audiences on sonic journeys accompanied by deep, meditative rhythms and dreamy melodies.

On Saturday, November 25, FNX Omar lands in Hong Kong, gearing up for the release of his latest track, ‘The Place’ on esteemed German label Get Physical Music. The track has already garnered support from A-list DJs, including the likes of Black Coffee.

The highly-anticipated night is to take place at Keyz — part of the newly-opened venue The Trilogy. Drawing inspiration for its name from the foundational element of musical compositions, Keyz embodies the essence of the venue’s commitment to delivering an unparalleled ambience for all its guests.
