Drip Drop
This December 27–29, the Drip Drop Festival will take place in the tranquil coastal town of Hualien, Taiwan—a location that blends stunning ocean views with the dramatic beauty of nearby mountains. With a strict limit of a maximum of 200 attendees, this event offers a rare chance to experience an underground gathering in an intimate setting.
Drip Drop brings together some of Taiwan's most exciting underground artists, featuring over 30 DJs from across the island and beyond. Headlining the event are local talents like Scott Noise, CR鉻, Vice City, Molly Lin, and more. Alongside these homegrown artists, the festival features international talent, including DJs from the US and Berlin. Across two stages, the music will be played 24/7, seamlessly blending live performances, experimental sounds, psychedelic beats, and dance-driven sets.

The event's atmosphere will be uniquely psychedelic and immersive. A major feature is the greenhouse stage, which offers shelter from Hualien’s unpredictable winter weather. Indoors, the space will be transformed by an international VJ who has toured with artists like Joey Bada$$ and Jelly Roll, and has worked with major festivals such as Glastonbury and Rolling Loud. This accomplished visual artist is responsible for creating a dynamic visual experience that will complement the music with installations and live performances such as dance artists. Every element is designed intentionally to elevate the atmosphere and create a truly trippy experience.
In addition to the music, there will be various workshops, offering an opportunity for attendees to engage with the festival on a deeper level. With a focus on creativity, the workshops span a wide range of topics, from artistic practices to mindful exploration. With workshops being offered and live performances happening, attendees will be able to experience a full spectrum of artistic expression, making this festival more than just a party—it’s a space for discovery and connection.
While the festival will undoubtedly stimulate all senses, it’s also a place for rest and reflection. The beachfront location offers a perfect escape, but it’s also a camping festival, so attendees should come prepared for outdoor living. Glamping tents and trailers are available for rent, offering more comfortable accommodations, but it’s important to remember that the festival will take place in an environment where the weather can be unpredictable, especially since it occurring during the winter.
To keep the event accessible, Drip Drop will allow attendees to bring their own beverages (BYOB), although there will be a bar available for those who prefer their beverages to be artfully made. As part of its commitment to sustainability, the festival has a no-disposable-cup policy. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own cups or rent one by putting down a deposit.
Drip Drop is not only about music; it’s about building community and creating an inclusive space where different subcultures and people can come together and celebrate. This is an event that welcomes everyone—those new to festivals and seasoned ravers alike. It’s an opportunity to connect with others in a safe, creative environment.
The event will be entirely nonprofit, with all proceeds going towards supporting the local community, the artists, and the venue. The intimate nature of the gathering, a combination of thoughtfully curated music and visuals, promises an experience that goes beyond what’s typically offered at larger, more commercial festivals.
Note that this event is strictly for adults, meaning no children allowed. With limited tickets available, we recommend securing your spot as early as possible. The event will take place in Hualien, roughly three hours from Taipei by train or around a 2.5-hour drive, though weekend traffic can be unpredictable.
Tickets are available through Mixmag Asia.
