Underwear-only hotel party in Bangkok ends with drug bust
Police arrested over 120 party-goers, including doctors & foreign nationals, in the hotel’s 20th-floor suite
On Sunday, December 8, a police raid at Bangkok’s S31 Hotel led to the arrest of 124 attendees—mostly men, many dressed in just their underwear.
The event, hosted in a luxurious 20th-floor suite, attracted a mix of locals and foreigners, including two women, and involved drugs such as ecstasy, ketamine, and crystal meth.
Authorities were tipped off about the gathering, which had been organised via a private social media group—plainclothes police attempted to infiltrate the group but were denied access.
At around 1:30am, police entered the room to find attendees—described as predominantly gay men—eating, drinking, and listening to music.

Police Colonel Pansa Amarapitak revealed that 31 attendees were found in possession of drugs, while 66 others tested positive for narcotics. Those who tested clean, 27 in total, were released.
The guest list reportedly included professionals such as doctors and beauty clinic operators, according to a source.

Amarapitak also confirmed that some of the party-goers had attended an earlier event before arriving at S31 Hotel for another round of festivities.
As of December 9, The Daily Guardian reports that authorities are seeking court approval to extend the detention of drug possession suspects beyond the standard 48-hour period.
