Unaharn Festival blends outdoor pleasures with exciting local & international acts

Taking place on 21-23 October, Thailand’s Unaharn Festival offers a refreshing celebration of music, nature and community.

In addition to the list of acts performing, arguably another one of the event’s foremost attribute is its idyllic setting. Nestled within a private 6-acre resort at the border of Khao Yai National Park, it offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok.

“It's this unique setting that people love about Unaharn, it's a reasonably sized event at just 400 people capacity, yet a great effort is made towards production and stage design,” mention the organisers.

As for the line-up, the festival has gone all out to curate a blend of exciting international, regional and local names. Stepping up to represent Thailand are Vell, Bestrip, Chalo, Dott, Jirus, Mac Rattana, DJ Sweed, and DJ Tada who are set to perform alongside Brent Burns (UK), Boris Rubin (Germany), Mumsfilibaba (Sweden), Di Linh (Vietnam), Alex Zaldua (UK), Luke July (UK), Ouissam (Vietnam) and Gaspray (Belgium).

“The line-up of the first two editions was pretty much only our DJ friends. We go out a lot and we had our own idea of what could be a good line-up for our own festival. Although it worked well so far, this time we tried to reach a bit further. We've invited DJs that are coming from different crews in Thailand and Vietnam. We try to create the surprise by booking acts that people don't necessarily see very often here, or not playing at that specific time of the day or night,” organisers explain.

Beyond the music, Unaharn Festival offers other features such as Sunday morning yoga sessions and a workshop for crafting custom festival wear in the afternoon for those who aren’t exactly early risers.

For the more adventurous ones, the venue also boasts a five-minute walk to a hidden waterfall, accompanied by peacocks freely roaming the grounds.

Plus, there’s always the option of hanging out by the pool and sharing a few drinks with friends and other attendees.

Planning on a first-time trip to Unaharn Festival? We’ve got some tips straight from the organisers themselves: “Don't be the person that just comes out at night. You can do that any time of the year! Our night stage is special of course, but the true Unaharn spirit resides in hanging out during the day, soaking in the nature, making some new friends, and enjoying a big rave until the morning.”

Unaharn Festival takes place at Rabiangprai Valley Resort on 21-23 October; tickets and accommodation available here.
