Ultra Singapore confirms deadmau5 and a stunning new waterfront location
The Canadian DJ and producer will also hit three more cities in Asia
Following a massively successful Road to Ultra last year, the festival giant recently revealed that its Singapore gig would become a full blown Ultra event that would span two days. This weekend it was announced that it would also be upgrading its digs to a breathtaking new location dubbed ‘Ultra Park.’
The location is a brand new outdoor venue located right across from the Marina Bay Sands at 1 Bayfront Avenue and will be the first event of this kind to happen at the scenic waterfront location.
The organizers have also said that they have secured the rights to rename the site ‘Ultra Park’ for the duration of the festival, which will run from noon until 10:30pm on both September 10th & 11th.
The upgrade in space also means that the Singaporean leg of the festival will take on more of its Miami feels, including the Main Stage, Live Stage and Resistance Stage. After Miami and Korea, Singapore will be only the third city to host an Ultra Live Stage.
It was also announced that the music industry’s most beloved Internet troll would be headlining the 2016 edition. deadmau5 will be dipping into The Lion City as well as stopping in Korea, Taiwan and Japan for Ultra events on what is slated to be his worldwide Ultra tour. Watch the teaser here.
Naturally, expect some serious line-up additions to come.
