Trust: Underground Essentials #1

The Underground Essentials tracks for this week include remixes from Maceo Plex, Maya Jane Coles, Carl Craig, and Phon.O, as well as original new releases by electronic music artists Royksopp, The Acid and xxanaxx and releases from Agoria and Pleasure State. It’s hard to choose only five but all of these struck a particular chord with me this week. Enjoy!

Sorid Affair (Maceo Plex Remix)

Nothing short of sheer beauty when you combine the soul and sounds of Royksopp vocals over a the cleverly subdued synth progressions that Maceo Plex is the top of his class in creating. One of the best remixes I have personally ever heard of a Royksopp song. Absolute beauty, plain and simple.

Ghost (Maya Jane Coles Remix)

The Acid (Adam Freeland, Steve Nalepa, and Ry X) released their full LP entitled 'Liminal' back in July but now remixes are coming including Maya Jane Coles hauntingly moving remix of 'Ghost' complete with the original vocals and deep yet driving bass-line throughout.
