Almost a third of all music uploaded to streaming platform Deezer is AI-generated
Over 30,000 “fully AI-generated tracks” are uploaded each day, up by almost 20% since January
Close to a third of all music uploaded to Deezer each day is AI-generated, according to the streaming platform’s CEO, Alexis Lanternier.
In a new report shared by Deezer, the French music streaming service revealed that it now receives over 30,000 “fully AI-generated” tracks every day, up by almost 20% since January.
The exponential growth of “synthetic tracks” is tracked by Deezer’s AI detection tool, which was first implemented at the start of 2025. It’s now the “only music streaming platform to explicitly tag AI-generated music” in the world.

In January, Deezer reported that AI-generated music accounted for just 10% of daily uploads, which grew to 18% by April, and now a “record-breaking” high of 28%.
CEO Alexis Lanternier notes the “massive increase” in synthetic music on the platform since the start of the year, saying that Deezer continues to “fight fraudulent activity, which is the main driver behind uploading fully AI-generated content.”
“AI music now makes up a significant part of the daily track delivery to music streaming and we want to lead the way in minimising any negative impact for artists and fans alike,” he says.

Lanternier also added that Deezer works to remove all fully AI-generated content from both “algorithmic recommendations and editorial playlists” to ensure the “impact on the royalty pool remains minimal”.
In February, Deezer pledged to develop its AI detection technology to find "deep-fake vocals", after it first began cracking down on AI-generated music in 2023, promising to “detect and delete" music that mimics artists and popular tracks.
