Taiwan-based electronic music producer Ń7ä drops a rich downtempo album

Ń7ä has just released her first self-produced concept album ‘Panorama’ on November 1, and it’s everything you might expect from this new Taiwanese artist. She arranged, composed, recorded and mixed it all herself – about what you’d expect from a precocious Berklee School of Music grad who has collabed with the likes of legendary singer Nona Hendryx and ‘Black Swan’ choreographer Francesca Harper on previous multimedia projects.

‘Panorama’ consists of seven tracks around the core concept of water.

Starting with the various shapes water takes – liquid, mist, clouds, ice, etc. Ń7ä aka Wenna Tsao takes you on an ambient, trip hop journey continuously through the tracks like a panoramic photo essay. In fact she has collaborated with photographer Alien Wang for a series of photographs connected to the aquatic theme, depicting different forms of water to represent the album.

Born in Taiwan, Ń7ä loves recording sounds in their natural environments, creating natural ‘instruments’ and musical impressions that she then blends into her tracks – some of which also flow into deep house, progressive house and electronica.
