Stalvart John is set to spread disco fever across Southeast Asia

We stand by our claim that Stalvart John is “one of India’s most prolific disco purveyors” and this month, three cities across Southeast Asia will get to hear why.

After a two-year hiatus, Stalvart John steps up to the disco plate to reignite Mixmag Asia Presents, the brand’s arm for regional DJ events and tours.

A three-city tour awaits India’s modern disco Maharaja with the following dates lined up:
- Friday, 16 June @ Blaq Lyte Air, Bangkok
- Saturday, 17 June @ The Lighthouse, Ho Chi Minh City
- Saturday, 24 June: GrooveTop Disco Brunch @ Mandala Club, Singapore

Kicking things off in Bangkok, Stalvart will be firing up Blaq Lyte Air with his funky disco sounds that will resonate from the rooftop venue that’s decked with a mirror-covered ceiling and lush red Void soundsystem.

Heading over to Ho Chi Minh City for a gig on the very next night, the Bengaluru-based beat purveyor will light up the dancefloors of The Lighthouse for another rooftop rendezvous of soulful house music all night long in the heart of District 1.

Singapore clubbers, save the date on June 24 as Stalvart John will be headlining a GrooveTop Disco Brunch event at Mandala Club alongside venue resident Joshua P and Taaka from YES YOU, initiated by local promoter GrooveTop who strives to create intimate events amidst a sea of dancefloor-friendly tunes.

With an impressive history of releases on notable labels such as Get Physical Music, Wind Horse Records, Hot Elephant Music, Believe in Disco and more, Stalvart John has been championing the sounds of disco across its whole spectrum; from classic to contemporary.

Describing his sets as “groovy, disco-ey, happy, straightforward, dancefloor friendly”, he channels his sonic sensibilities into the party series-turned-record label Dynamite Disco Club.

Now in its seventh year, Stalvart John brings the vibrant and excessively dynamic vibes of his events and music to Southeast Asia for our upcoming Mixmag Asia Presents offering.
