Soulful Ghosts are back with a hypnotising new track titled ‘Release’

Since the release of their first eponymous EP in 2018, duo Soulful Ghosts have remained quiet about any future projects. It must be said that the Singaporean singer Vanessa Fernandez had a busy year performing under her alter-ego Vandetta. But they just broke their silence by announcing the (upcoming) release of a new song, named 'Released'.

Scheduled for release on April 24, this new track will show that they haven't changed their (captivating) formula. Vanessa Fernandez's voice still occupies the whole song, giving it a soft and emotional r'n'b vibe, while Nic Robertson's minimalist beats are supporting her with brio. If anything, Robertson gave up his guitar to totally focus on the electro and synth part of the song. And that's a success: the song is deeper, more spiritual, and hypnotising.

As the singer explained, 'Release' is a culmination of several years of spiritual exploration. And it is felt — this song is a captivating ballad that announces the best for the duo's future.

To celebrate the single's release, Fernandez will offer Soulful Ghosts fans a special live stream on her private Instagram the night before. She plans on performing an acoustic version of the song.

Thus, mark it down: you have a meeting on April 23 at 8pm right here waiting for the release on April 24.
