Soora opens as Bali’s first plant-forward cocktail bar
3000 Group’s new venture pairs botanical mixology with music inspired by Mort Garson’s 'Plantasia', creating a relaxing experience rooted in nature & sustainability

Bali’s cocktail scene welcomes a new player with the launch of Soora, a plant-forward cocktail bar in Nusa Dua by 3000 Group.
Positioning itself as Bali’s first plant-forward bar, Soora highlights Indonesia’s rich herbal traditions through inventive cocktails.
Taking its name from the Sanskrit word for “divine elixir”, Soora embraces plant-based mixology.
Its design blends nature with luxury, featuring cascading greenery, living walls, and an herb garden around the bar counter.
Cocktails are custom-made, with bartenders using fresh, locally sourced herbs, fruits, and botanicals.

A key highlight is Soora’s exclusive tincture collection—unique infusions of indigenous roots, woods, and herbs from across the archipelago.
“You can handpick your own tincture based on your palate and use it as the base for your very own bespoke cocktail,” says Asa Kusumah, Group Head Marketing of 3000 Group, who recommends the ‘Mushroom’ cocktail, a highball-style fusion of umami and refreshment. “Want a secret tip? Ask your bartender to make it spicy,” Asa adds.

Beyond serving drinks, Soora doubles as an educational hub, offering mixology workshops on herbal infusions, sustainable ingredients, and mindful cocktail creation.
Committed to sustainability, the bar prioritises organic ingredients and minimises waste through composting and recycling.

Music plays a crucial role in shaping the Soora experience.
Drawing inspiration from Mort Garson’s ‘Plantasia’ and ambient soundscapes, the bar’s playlists are meticulously curated to enhance relaxation.

“Our main objective at Soora is to put our patrons at ease; giving them some sort of a quick getaway at our verdant oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the island. We handpick each and every song played throughout the bar, the volume must not reach above a certain decibel as not to annoy our patrons’ experience, only certain genres are allowed to be included in the playlist, things like that,” Asa notes.
Now open at Ayodya Resort Nusa Dua, Soora redefines Bali’s cocktail scene with botanical innovation, personalised mixology, and a commitment to sustainability.
