Snapped: Circo Loco Afterparty in Japan
We hit Japan with Seth Troxler and The Martinez Brothers for a slice of Ibiza heaven in Japanese fashion
The party was cancelled. Bad weather, an incoming cyclone actually. What can you do?
You can throw one hell of an after party and invite Circo Loco regulars Seth Troxler and The Martinez Brothers to helm the party. In the main room of Womb, the three of them manned the decks for close to five hours in a rare Asian showcase that featured a lot of soulful house and disco where vibes were very much reminiscent of summers spent in Ibiza.
They were joined onstage by Nastia who fed off their energy and added to it her own infectious grooves. Mees Dierdorp, Satoshi Otsuki, SO, Naoki Serizawa, and ITA & KON also all hit the decks.
The party followed Womb’s 15th anniversary event the night before with drum and bass legend Andy C. Womb has for the last decade and a half been arguably one of Asia’s most revered and respected underground music clubs, being a beacon for the rapid growth of dance music culture in Asia and a favorite amongst many of the world’s biggest DJs.
It’s not the first time that Circo Loco has come to Japan, having done annual parties there for a few years now. Suppose at this point we can only hope that Ibiza’s most raucous party spreads to the sunnier parts of Asia.
