Skrillex to make his Berghain debut next month for PAN's 15th anniversary

Skrillex is set to make his Berghain debut in October at Berlin-based label PAN’s next event, alongside a handful of names from the PAN roster.

The next PAN party is set to take place over the course of nine hours on October 27 across both Berghain and Panorama Bar, celebrating the label’s 15th anniversary.

Taking over Berghain on the night, PAN signees Amnesia Scanner are set to perform a live set, joined by CRYSTALLMESS, Juliana Huxtable, M.E.S.H., Tzusing, and Skrillex, who’s due to make his first-ever appearance at the Berlin club.

Up in Panorama Bar, Dj Babatr, Doss, nunguja, Objekt, Toccororo, and Yves Tumor are all set to perform alongside PAN label boss Bill Kouligas on the night.

PAN was first founded in 2008 in Berlin with a focus on experimental music. In its 15 years, the label has collaborated with institutions such as the ICA in London and signed and brought through acts including Amnesia Scanner, Eartheater, and Arca.

In a 2019 interview with Mixmag charting the label’s 10-year history, founder Bill Kouligas explained that the secret to PAN’s longevity was “blood, sweat, and tears”.

“PAN functions as a sort of artists’ collective, where any artist included comes into conversation with the other people working on the label, as well as the lineage of artistic and musical influences that have created PAN,” he said.

“The focus is evolving every year and reflecting on the rapidly changing cultural and material conditions of today’s art practices. Intuition is still at the core of our approach.”
