Saltburn soundtrack LP features "bathwater" liquid-filled vinyl design
The "unique design", referencing a notorious scene in the 2023 black comedy, is being labelled as both "genius" and "disgusting" by fans
While the 00s-referencing soundtrack from last year's Saltburn has been credited as helping resurge an interest in Sophie Ellis Bextor, Princess Superstar and Bloc Party — its recently unveiled vinyl release has captured the attention of fans for a very different reason: Its "bathwater" design.
Inspired by a "notorious scene" in the Amazon Prime Video-released black comedy — which saw protagonist Oliver (played by Barry Keoghan) drink the bathwater of friend Felix (played by Jacob Elordi) after he had ejaculated in it — the vinyl features a plughole design in the centre, with "bath water-filled" PVC.

The "unique" design comes from liquid-filled record specialists Bad World, who also created a limited-run LP for The 1975's 2022 album 'Being Funny in a Foreign Language'.
While fans won't be able to get their hands on the record till September, Bad World posted a demonstration of the liquid moves within the' 'Saltburn Music From The Motion Picture (Bath Water Edition)' LP on Instagram. Watch below.
The LP design has garnered mixed reviews from social media users, with Twitter user @RyanJamesDee sharing the demonstration describing it as "perhaps the best vinyl ever pressed," with @MangsAlt also sharing the clip writing: "I'm SO impressed and disgusted at the same time."
While Instagram commenter Kade.zw wrote: "Omg it literally looks like jizz, well played," with urbanart2000 adding "Is the liquid suitable for human consumption?"

The Saltburn soundtrack is available in an alternative cherry-red 12" via many major stockists — with delivery expected in August, though those who have managed to secure a pre-order of the "bathwater edition" have already been uploading it to marketplaces such as eBay.
While Bad World is retailing the record at around £45, some eBay users are hawking the vinyl for upwards of £100.
The LP is only available to pre-order for three more hours, so if a "bathwater-filled" vinyl is your thing (sigh), you can order via the Bad World website, here.
