Sakura Tsuruta debuts on all my thoughts with album inspired by radiant gemstones

Japanese electronic artist Sakura Tsuruta has announced her sophomore album ‘GEMZ’, set for release on November 26, with the enchanting lead single ‘Twilight’ already out.

The new album follows her 2022 debut ‘C / O’ and dives deep into the evocative world of gemstones, drawing inspiration from their radiant hues and symbolic energy. It also marks her first release on Seb Wildblood's label, all my thoughts.

Tsuruta explains that ‘GEMZ’ channels the “radiant light and vibrant colours” of each gem into a complex sonic landscape that promises to be both reflective and immersive.

Each track on the album embodies the essence of a different gemstone, capturing both its tangible beauty and metaphysical meaning.

First single ‘Twilight’ offers a first taste of this, shimmering with a lively, sparkling quality that feels like light bouncing off a polished stone. Imagine old-school Nokia ringtones elevated into a charming full track, and that is intended in the most complimentary fashion.

Its playful, twinkling textures hint at the lush layers to come from the rest of the project, leaving us eager to experience the full spectrum of gems Sakura has crafted in this anticipated release.
