One of Vietnam’s most iconic songs from the 1970s, ‘Hào Hoa’ by Giao Tien, got a revamp last year from Saigon Soul Revival via Saigon Supersound.

Hào Hoa (loosely translated as "an exceedingly charming man") was a powerful song to Vietnam’s local audience.

Following last year’s re-issue, which was 42 years after the original release, the Saigon Supersound label team thought to add a 2022 revamp, and really bring the sound of Saigon from the 70s into the now by featuring Vietnam-based rapper Blacka.

Blacka recently blew up across Vietnam's local rap scene after becoming the 2022 finalist of the country's most successful TV show “Rap Việt”. He was just seven years old when he first listened to 'Hào Hoa' which was playing everywhere in Saigon.

The 2022 version comes with a hefty package of remixes that tread through funky and broken beats, disco house and club-friendly hip hop.
