The Roland TR-727 and 707 have been added to the Roland Cloud

Roland has added the TR-707 and TR-727 to its cloud service, meaning that both of the iconic drum machines can be used as plugins in your favourite DAW.

Heard on tracks from Aphex Twin and a host of other artists, the machines have been faithfully recreated, with added grit from Roland’s Analogue Circuit Behaviour model, and many other new features, with an updated sequencer added to the digital versions of the drum machines.

Roland’s Cloud membership, which features the Juno-106 as well as a number of other iconic synthesisers and drum machines, starts at £2.99 monthly. They have set out to create accurate remakes of their classic machines, allowing them to be controlled by external hardware.

These machines retail for up £1000 and upwards, meaning that their digital counterparts allow access to these sounds for significantly less.
