Red Pig Flower's mind-bending soundscapes set to grace Hong Kong on June 28

Party purveyors y2k in collaboration with Mixmag Asia are inviting over Red Pig Flower to Hong Kong for a gig at the recently opened Melody - House of Food & Music.

Originating from South Korea and having enriched her craft in Japan, Germany, the UK, and Italy, Red Pig Flower's performances are a masterclass in intricate, emotive, and mind-bending compositions.

It was thanks to a gig at Panorama Bar that Red solidified her reputation in the industry. Her sets are oftentimes described as a sonic adventure, seamlessly transitioning from trippy micro house to pulsating house and techno.

When it comes to production, her skills are equally as impressive. Her latest EP, ‘House Thing’, is a testament to her ability to create energetic and timeless tracks that resonate with dance music lovers worldwide.

This year, she celebrates the ten-year journey the label she co-founded, Sound Of Vast, which has housed stellar works by the likes of Cinthie, Shinichiro Yokota, and The Mole. Red herself has released under Work In Progress, Serialism, and As.If in addition to her own label.

With an album on the way, she teases us how it will be one that “tells about my personal journey as an artist, starting from ambient and minimal to quite dancefloor-oriented house music.”

We’ll get more into the release in an upcoming Mixmag Asia exclusive interview with Red before her Hong Kong gig, so stay tuned.
