Pot Meets Pop highlights the animated spirit of ska in its 'Welcome to Skaville' collection
The Indonesia-based denim brand has got us covered for a jolly summer
Now that Summer is upon us, it’s safe to say we can unapologetically pile on colorful prints to festivals. Luckily, Indonesian brand Pot Meets Pop has got us covered in that department with its unique Spring/Summer 2022 capsule collection titled 'Welcome to Skaville'.
The word “Skaville” in the collection name refers to ska music that originated in Jamaica in the late 50s and was the precursor to rocksteady and reggae. Therefore, it’s no surprise that the collection’s imprints are highlighted by jolly graphics and put forward a wide range of silhouettes that are inspired by the genre itself.
Their latest line-up of garments include a range of versatile items such as a camo jacket, a plaid Harrington jacket, a coverall denim piece plus a coverall worker jacket that emphasises their specialty in providing fashionable workwear.
Also presented in this capsule are some playful short sleeve button shirts that come with all-over patterns in white, purple and a toned-down navy piece. For bottoms, they’ve provided us hickory-striped belted shorts and cargo pants to complete our vibrant look.
Pot Meets Pop is an Indonesia-based denim brand that is inspired by the pot culture and has been embracing the workwear style with a contemporary aesthetic since 2009. Their globally-sourced materials create items of unwavering quality that have been recognised all over the world. Though catering to international demands, the clothing label has been rock steady towards their standard of materials and their ideals.
