As we reported last weekend, Richie Hawtin’s just dropped an EP under his name for the first time in 21 years. The two-track ‘Time Warps’ EP is also the debut release of his new label From Our Minds, an imprint under Hawtin’s parent label Plus 8 Records. It seems that Hawtin is keen on scoring real estate on Mixmag Asia’s news section (and we’re happy to provide): it’s just been announced that a lost film about Hawtin’s Plastikman project from 10 years ago will be screened for the first time — once per two time zones only, supposedly — on this Friday, Dec 4.

The two virtual screenings of ‘PLASTIKMAN R E W I N D’ will take place on Beatport.com and Beatport’s official Twitch channel at midnight 12AM CET in Europe (6AM GMT+7) and 12AM EST (12PM GMT+7) in North America respectively. The film is directed by David Terranova, a Brooklyn-based experimental director, video editor and film composer. Terranova has done live production visual work for Depeche Mode and Nicolas Jaar, and has also worked on various productions in the music world such as music videos and music documentaries.

Little information else has been revealed about the film, other than the elusive teaser video that Hawtin posted on Facebook on Tuesday evening, and a quote from Hawtin: "Imagine waking up from an acid trip and trying to put all the pieces back together… ten years later."

Set an alarm, get the popcorn, watch the teaser below, and wait with us.
