Organik Festival confirms first names for 2017
Taiwan's premier techno festival returns in April for 3 days
Taiwan’s premier techno festival has announced its return this year near the idyllic coastal town Hualien and also that it would grow from 2 to 3 days.
Running from Friday April 28th to Sunday April 30th, the festival has also teased the first four acts on the bill. Organik will host Dorisburg for the second year in a row and from Japan it has invited DJ Nobu and Wata Igarashi with the latter doing a live set. Finally Delaphine boss S.A.M will be heading over from Copenhagen. The full line-up is expected in the coming weeks.
As for tickets, rumors have turned into reality and tickets appear to be limited this year. To start, door tickets will not be available and tickets for international travelers are limited to 100. They can be purchased here.
For local residents, early bird tickets sold out in 2 minutes so don’t sleep.
Debuting in 2014, Organik Festival has become one of the most respected techno festivals in the region with Giegling and Ostgut Ton artists regularly appearing on the roster. The site is just short of surreal as it's surrounded by staggering vistas of azure waters on a black sand beach. The festival is organized by Smoke Machine, an elusive Taiwanese techno brand with outlets in Berlin. Learn about and listen to 158 techno podcasts courtesy of Smoke Machine here.
