Nour Alsholi, who DJs under the name Nour, has announced plans to launch a talent agency called Aswatna on May 30.

The name translates from Arabic as “Our Voices”, and the Palestinian-owned talent agency will be “dedicated to representing and uplifting Palestinian artists, with a mission to amplify Palestinian voices and create meaningful pathways for Palestinian creativity to flourish across international stages.”

“Palestinian artists hold extraordinary creative power, but too often they have had to navigate industries without the support systems needed to grow,” says founder Nour Alsholi. “We created Aswatna to be a home for Palestinian artists, a space where they are supported, represented, and connected to opportunities that honor both their craft and their values.”

Aswatna will vet venues, festivals, cultural institutions, and collaborators to ensure the artists they represent take on partnerships which align with their principles and priorities.

As well as artist representation, Aswatna will also curate cultural programs and events “that celebrate Palestinian creativity and heritage.”
