A music initiative has been launched, taking Thai artists to international stages throughout 2026 while funding musicians to help kick-start their careers.

The Creative Economy Agency (CEA) has opened two flagship programmes, including the Music Exchange 2026, which aims to "expand Thai music onto the global stage" by supporting 33 Thai artists who will perform at 34 international festivals in 14 countries this year.

The second programme is the CEA’s Music Lab, which promises to "elevate the capabilities of music industry personnel in business and copyright management".

Support will also come from direct funding to artists and record labels, providing a total of 1.5 million THB (approx. USD45.300) towards those looking to develop their creative skills and take their music internationally.

The programmes are developed alongside music industry experts, and include a 32-hour intensive business development programme for selected artists, and an IP Management masterclass teaching lessons in buy-out agreements and copyright management.
