MasterSounds is celebrating its 15th anniversary by releasing a limited edition batch of BLU DJ mixers and FX units.
The 15 units of each edition have been professionally powder-coated in matte blue and feature gold 01-15 graphics and hand-numbered edition tags.
The company has also produced a super-limited run of their MasterSounds SL turntables in blue to match, with each turntable being hand-built to founder Ryan Shaw's specifications. They feature upgraded and rewired Rega RB-330 tonearms and AT cartridges, as well as MasterSounds signature LinearPOWER supply and limited-edition screen-printed 15 Years Deep graphics.
Earlier this year, MasterSounds released the MK2 version of its flagship Valve range of DJ mixers; each Valve MK2 is hand-crafted by Union Audio in Cornwall, England, and designed by Union Audio's founder Andy Rigby Jones alongside MasterSounds’ Ryan Shaw. The addition of the VariableQ high pass filter and re-designed EQ and RIAA Input stage provides added playability and flexibility for DJs.
Regarded as a connoisseur of mixers and mixer design, Andy Rigby-Jones was involved in the design of the Xone and Richie Hawtin's PLAYdifferently unit.
MK2 Valve BLU is available in both 2 and 4-channel options:
- Radius 2 & FX BLU - £1695
- Radius 4 and FX BLU - £2095
- Two Valve MK2 & FX - £2595
- Four Valve MK2 & FX - £3395
- MasterSounds SL – BLU - £2,695
Known for their premium quality, the UK-based premium audio equipment manufacturer has been pleasing audiophiles and rotary-addicts since Ryan Shaw made his first batch of turntable weights in 2008.
