Lo-fi label Bluewerks launches immersive pop-up in Hong Kong
The joint-venture label channels lo-fi beats to the city's coffee-heads
Following up on the announcement of the launch of the joint label venture between Astralwerks and Blue Note Records — Bluewerks, Hong Kong music fans (and coffee-holics!) are in for a treat!
The new imprint focuses on lo-fi releases that bridge electronic, downtempo and jazz aesthetics, and despite such a short footprint in the game, the label is already activating it’s music across Asia, starting with a pop-up concept at the popular FabCafe in Sheung Wan.
The pop-up brings together both the music behind the first of many compilations, ‘Bluewerks Vol.1: Up Down Left Right’, as well as the visual components behind the brand and the release — the first compilation focuses on a theme of travel, something we’re all dreaming about right now. But, why not day dream over some exceptional brew and a cozy lo-fi soundtrack?
In conjunction with b2, a Hong Kong based music company, the campaign features everything from funky and artistic coffee coasters, exclusively designed and limited postcards, Bluewerks themed decor and an interactive Bluewerks map where visitors can place stickers on their dream destinations.
Since our office is in Hong Kong, we’ll be grabbing our morning pick-me-ups with some lo-fi sugar to keep our step up for the day!
The immersive campaign runs until April 11, so if you're in Hong Kong, we suggest you swing by. Find out more about FabCafe here, and you can check out their playlist below.
