Featuring a collection of music similar to what he would play in a club setting
For his Essential Mix debut on BBC Radio 1, Ireland’s own Mano Le Tough stepped up with a two hour mix that offers a snapshot of his eclectic taste in dance music.
Although he’s been relatively quiet in terms of releasing new music this year, Mano Le Tough, aka Niall Mannion, has been one of the underground’s most in demand DJs. He’s been making his rounds, performing standout sets around the world, including Amsterdam, New York City, London, Berlin, and multiple sets on the island of Ibiza. Not to mention his label Maeve has released a pair of quality release from Ed Davenport and co-label head Baikal.
On the vision behind his Essential Mix debut, Mannion wanted to deliver a set similar to what he would play out: “The idea behind the mix was to do a condensed version of a longer set i might play in a club. The mix features music from some of my favorite artists...”
It’s clear that Mannion is one to provide a unique selection and his Essential mix lays out exactly that. Featuring tracks from the likes of Roman Flügel, Ripperton, Daniel Avery, Blawan and his Maeve labelmate Baikal, there’s a wide range of sounds presented.
