LCD Soundsystem have finished their new album
James Murphy says it could be out in as early as 6 weeks
LCD Soundsystem have confirmed they have finished recording their comeback album.
Frontman James Murphy made the revelation to the crowd during the band’s headline slot at Sasquatch! Festival last week on May 26, saying the record was “finally done”, and that the group “feel like we’ve knocked it out of the park with this one.”
It was followed up by a statement on Facebook today that says the album could be out as early as 6 weeks from now. Read the full statement below.
Earlier this month LCD Soundsystem released two new tracks ‘Call The Police’ and American Dream’, with Murphy saying that the recording process for the band’s first studio album since 2010’s ‘This Is Happening’ has been “one of the most enjoyable records to make in my life, if not the most fun ever”.
