Jakarta’s Ecilo heads over to Kuala Lumpur for a night of proper techno at Pisco for the venue’s highly-anticipated Substance club night.

Since 2008, Ecilo has made a name for himself in electronic music, spreading his percussive 4x4 beats worldwide through releases on legendary labels like Jeff Mills’ Axis Records, ARTS, and Planet Rhythm. His contributions to building the scene in Jakarta have seen him carve out a pioneering role in nurturing the underground as well as inspire more in the city to explore the industrial side of techno.

Ecilo's consistent delivery of techno sets has revitalized the genre and inspired newcomers from all over the globe. His unique sound draws from African-American music and sci-fi soundtracks, blending minimalist and high-tech elements for a futuristic vibe.

This Friday, Substance welcomes him back to Pisco’s space for yet another of its stellar music soundscape events alongside Malaysia's stalwarts Alam and Eaxon who will provide beats well into the wee hours.
