A small music festival, ‘THE GRATEFUL CAMP (TGC)’ will be held from Friday, 16 September to Sunday, 18 September at ‘Bird and Sparrow Camping, an in-the-woods camping site in Gapyeong-gun.

Organised by Korean CHS, ‘TGC’ began with a desire to share a unique atmosphere and sensibility they felt while performing at a small forest camp three years ago with various musicians and audiences.

Located in Seorak-myeon, Gapyeong-gun, ‘Bird and Sparrow Camping’ preserves the forest as much as possible to create a camping culture that coexists with nature. It is well known among outdoor-lovers for its uniqueness that differentiates from the usual cookie-cutter camping sites.

Running over two nights and three days, TGC features 11 live musicians including ‘Idiotape’, ‘Goonam’, ‘Galaxy Express’, which best matches this space, as well as 12 talented DJs including DJ Oviduct a.k.a. KimC, who is the vocalist of ‘Hot Potato’, along with DJ Jinwook.

In the post COVID-19 era, and in line with shifting trends to outdoor activities emerging as a new lifestyle and changes in audience taste towards intimately sized festivals, TGC aims to grow into a boutique concept with its own flavour.

Ticket options can include camping or without if you’re just coming for the show. Camping is probably advised if you plan on enjoying the full programme.
