KING CHAIN releases new single ‘L3AN’
Chinese DJ offers second release from his Ghetto Techno series
Shanghai based KING CHAIN has been tearing up clubs across China for the past few years with his hard, bass-heavy ‘ghetto techno’ sound. Complete with grime vocals and sharp 909 snares, KING CHAIN’s new single ‘L3AN’ floats on an acid bassline that gurgles and propels the track into dark, yet accessible and somehow funky places. The slow burner starts off with some warped Eastern notes, and soon descends into a hard, dubby cadence and the hypnotic refrain, ‘Trippin on my name and my MF’in chain’.
This is not the techno you’ve heard before — this is 'ghetto techno'.
Dropped this week, ‘L3AN’ is a China-only release so far, but the track has already been tapped for inclusion on b2 Music’s forthcoming Billboard Presents: Electric Asia Vol 3 compilation, so international exposure is coming soon.
